Description=Angry IP scanner is a very fast IP scanner. It can scan IPs in any range, even 1.1.1.1 to 255.255.255.255. Its binary file size is very small compared to other IP scanners. I've seen good, fast and small TCP port scanners, but not IP scanners. BTW, I'm talking about software for Windows only here. Angry IP scanner simply pings each IP address to check if it's alive, then optionally it is resolving hostname and tries to connect at specified in Options dialog box TCP port. It is using separate threads for each scanned address to reduce scanning speed. From version 1.65 it can display NetBIOS information: computer name, workgroup, currently logged user and MAC address by selecting Show NetBIOS info from the context menu.
